Ichiro’s Malt, a Japanese distillery founded in 2004 by Ichiro Akuto. It became operational in 2008 and holds the distinction of being the first new Japanese distillery to open since 1973.

Ichiro’s Malt has gained recognition for its innovative approach to whisky-making and its incorporation of historical elements, as demonstrated by the inclusion of whisky from the Hanyu distillery in its blends.

ASTING NOTES

Colour: Auburn

Nose: sultanas, dried figs, and Christmas cake with a hint of sweetness and spiciness

Palate:  Creamy with  raisin and chocolate truffle notes

Finish: Warming with hints of maple syrup and toasted oak
